Liquid Voice: Riding the New Market Wave
30/03/07
In a world
where hi-tech firms and their 'all-new' products appear to come and
go overnight, Liquid Voice is a refreshing exception: an
established, successful IT company that has created - and now rides
- it's own unique area of a fast-growing market wave that is
transforming the way the UK does business.
New laws, industry guidelines, EU
legislation and increasing threat of legal action are forcing the
need for sophisticated record-keeping tracking, analysis and
management - key issues that affect all customer-facing companies,
enterprises and authorities involved in any form of transaction.
Also, the need to continually improve customer/transaction services
and better measure/manage vital business and operational processes
has created a double boost to growth, adding a range of additional
drivers that are set to fuel future market expansion.
"The way that companies,
authorities, institutions and organisations approach good
governance, conduct and manage their business, is changing fast and
it's companies like ourselves that are reflecting - and driving -
change,"
says Chris Berry, Liquid Voice Business Development Director.
The integral need for Hi-Tech,
IT-based solutions to today's complex business, legal and
legislative challenges is fuelling the success of companies like
Liquid Voice - especially when other providers and vendors get it so
wrong.
“Liquid Voice
was born out of pure frustration at the ridiculously high prices for
over-complex, under-performing telephony solutions,” says Berry.
"We saw an opportunity to create an all-signing, all-dancing product
that is simple to sell, install and use and delivers the powerful
functionality customers demand – and at a sensible price.
“Over and above an industry-leading product range, we owe our
continuing success to our quality of service and our valued
partners. The fact that Liquid Voice resellers are succeeding with
our products against a backdrop of increasing demand proves the
strength of our original vision and market predictions”.
Based in Leeds and operating
nationally, the company's
CTI, call
recording and call management products are used and trusted daily by
major corporations, local authorities, Government agencies, Call &
Contact Centres, SME businesses, Banks, Financial Service Providers
and Professional Services providers across the UK.
With over a
decade’s experience in developing and taking to market
industry-leading CTI products and comms-based business process
solutions, the company’s founders have a track record of technical
expertise, their commercial success based on a comprehensive
knowledge of the customer environment.
“Our objective
is to simplify computer telephony (CTI) applications and the
inter-networking of voice and data, so that our solutions are more
effective, easier to use and provide better value to customers.”
says Chris Berry.
The company’s Vision and Commercial Objectives have to date been
realized and achieved on all counts as the company has reported
growth and profitability beyond expectations.
Liquid Voice is based in Leeds while the company’s footprint extends
nationally. “We have been used to dealing with customers across the
country for many years but have never been tempted to uproot from
Leeds. As a regional centre of commerce, the city is a hub for
business, commerce and industry".
Track record of success
The founding Directors have industry-leading expertise and a track
record of success in the field of Computer Telephony Integration (CTI)
and integrating with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and
Electronic Document Management (EDM) packages.
As two top tech and sales warriors at Civica UK Andrew Barrett and
Chris Berry created and grew a new business unit within Civica that
developed, sold and installed bespoke CTI solutions across the UK
local authority and housing markets. “We started at the pit-face of
the data and communications integration market, developed all-new
products among the grass-roots of an all-new emerging market and
over six years, from nothing, grew our business unit into a highly
successful revenue sector,” says Berry.
CTI solutions the pair developed and took to market included Call
Control, Screen-Popping, Back-Office Integration, ACD applications,
Interactive Voice Response, software-based Call Recording, Lone
Worker and Voicemail applications. They also developed a Management
Information package (SAM) featuring a graphic wall display. “Our
products and solutions integrated seamlessly with all major-brand
telephone systems and back-office applications,” says Berry.
New market and product opportunities
As their experience and technical know-how grew, the young turks’
ambitions crystalised as they identified a series of new market and
product opportunities.
“One of the things we experienced having gone into very large
organizations and dealt with numerous telecoms suppliers and their
products, was that systems being sold and installed were
under-performing, overly-complex and overly-expensive.
“We saw an opportunity to create an all-signing, all-dancing product
that is simple to sell, install and use and delivers the powerful
functionality customers demand – at a sensible price.
“Civica UK have their own particular strategic objectives and market
aspirations and we fully respect that“, says Berry. “Having proven
the market for the products we developed at Civica and having
identified exciting new opportunities around call recording, the
time was right and we just had to go with our instinct– and Liquid
Voice was born.
Proven specialists, proven products
“Years of direct experience in product development, in the boardroom
and dealing with hundreds of major customers told us the market for
our products was emerging – and growing – while a ‘Jedi-like’
gut-feeling told us to have confidence in our decision-making and
take it all the way.
“We still work closely with and develop and maintain a range of
products and CTI applications on behalf of Civica UK. This gives us
very strong ongoing product development base in addition to Liquid
Voice products. The relationship has grown to the point where Civica
UK is now installing Liquid Voice products across its own customer
base.
”Call Recording is our central focus. We are proven specialists with
proven products that have successfully rode the new market wave from
its birth. We’re excited by our success to date and the potential
for significant future growth. The wave is growing bigger every
month and we’re keen to evangelize the many market and sales
opportunities that are available to resellers.
“Liquid Voice has proven products, a growing market, the vision,
drive and experience to continue its trajectory of success.”
