solving.
Voice over IP
Internet Protocol (IP) is the communication language that allows a
network of computers to talk to each other so that we can send emails,
share documents and other files. IP can be used with telephones and
telephone systems to provide a highly efficient way of making phone
calls across the internet. Commonly this is referred to as Voice over
IP or VoIP for short. When used within a private business network, IP
enables businesses to align their PC applications with the way that
their telephone system operates, as both systems are interconnected on
the same network. Essentially, IP acts as the glue that binds together
front-office applications with a communication server allowing a
single network to handle all communication needs.
Unified Messaging
Unified messaging (UM) collects messages of all formats in one
electronic mailbox. The electronic mailbox can be accessed at any
time, allowing field-based staff to pick up and manage messages
anywhere, anytime. Benefits include better internal and external
communications, greater productivity and cost savings.
LAN
Telephony
The convergence of voice and data on a Local Area Network ,
eliminating the need for separate voice and data networks within an
organisation.
Call Routing
Bridgecom through their sister Company, Bridgecall can reduce a
companies telephony costs simply by allowing existing BT lines to
carry outbound calls to the local exchange, where they can be
automatically re-routed across an Opal Network. No physical work is
required on the premises and there's no need to change their telephone
numbers.
There are two ways in which calls can be routed to the Opal Network
from the local BT exchange. The preferred option is Carrier Pre
Selection (CPS), where the exchange itself is programmed to recognise
calls from a companies phone lines and pass them to Opal. Using the
alternative, Switch Access approach, their PBX (Private Branch
Exchange) is programmed to prefix every dialed number with the Opal
routing code, which tells the exchange to route the call to their
network.
IT

Bridgecom undertake a free survey of each customers IT needs,
culminating in a presentation of proposal to utilise voice and data
technology to improve their productivity.
