Remote worker bandwidth survey

New research
suggests that many businesses do not have enough bandwidth to fully
service remote workers.
A survey conducted
for Blue Coat Systems concludes that companies are failing to
provide sufficient bandwidth for remote workers to have fast and
secure access to online corporate systems.
Research company e-Media, who conducted the survey, say that remote
workers are least likely to use company networks for non-related
activities but remain the biggest security risk.
It found that sales teams are most likely to abuse a company’s
network and that remote workers were the most likely to accidentally
expose the network to virus and malware threats.
